Ready for This?

September is Emergency Preparedness Month

September is recognized as National Preparedness Month (NPM) which serves as a reminder that we all must take action to prepare, now and throughout the year, for the types of emergencies that could affect us where we live, work, and also where we visit.

This year, like last, the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) theme is "Don't Wait, Communicate. Make Your Emergency Plan Today," to place continuing emphasis on preparedness for youth, older adults, and others with access and functional needs. You can help by ensuring you make your plan for yourself and your family.

A wealth of preparedness informations available on the website www.ready.gov. Thank you for taking the time help make America more prepared for emergencies.

FEMA's mission is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from and mitigate all hazards.
