Wachs was proud to sponsor the Cowden Plantation Veterans Hunt last week in Jackson, SC.  All proceeds from the Veterans Hunt go to support the Wounded Warrior Project.

This two day free event was organized to offer thanks and appreciation to our military (active, retired, reserved, disabled) and in memory of Spc. Thomas Caughman.

Spc. Caughman of Lexington, S.C. was killed in 2004 while serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom when his Humvee was struck by rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire in Baghdad.

The  Veterans Hunt took place on Cowden Plantation, located deep in the South Carolina low country. Cowden Plantation is a 10,000 acre preserve dedicated to the conservation and management of wild game and their natural habitat.

There were 33 military veteran hunters who spent two days in fellowship while hunting in the beautiful preserve. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this such a special event for our participating veterans.
