WTS performed mechanical cuts to release Yankee Rowe’s steam generators. A special tool slide adapter was built to make two cuts 1.5” apart on the hot and cold leg with one set up of the split frame machine. The hot and cold leg piping was 26” 0. D. x 2.625 wall thickness.
WTS cut the Upper Neutron Shield Tank using a remote operated track torch system, and segmented the remainder of the Main Coolant Piping with WTS split frame machines.
A remote Plasma Arc Arm with Camera System was used to cut the Lower Neutron Shield Tank.
WTS prepared a Reactor Vessel Segmentation Evaluation for the removal of the Reactor Vessel. |
