WTS was contracted by PGE to do concrete cutting of the steam generator cubicles, pressurizer roof and wall and containment wall opening. WTS used a Diamond Wire Saw to perform this work. The concrete blocks had to weigh 30,000 lbs. or less. The containment wall opening was 22’ x 24’ providing a direct path for removal of the generators and pressurizer from the building.
WTS was awarded the contract to enlarge the containment wall opening to 33’ x 33’ for removal of the Reactor Vessel using Diamond Wire Sawing. |
